It is the need of the hour to establish a quality Islamic school combining Islamic and general education for school-going students. Under the initiative of Tahzeeb Foundation, a number of mosque-based Maktabs are currently being run for free religious education of children in rural and underprivileged remote areas. Our target is to run at least 100 Maktabs in the northern region. Only 4 thousand rupees per month is required to run each Maktab. A mosque-based maktab can be run for a full year with just 48,000 taka per year. Where students will have the opportunity to learn religion for free.

Interest free loans or Karye Hasana activities are being conducted under the slogan Sud Haram, Karye Hasana solution. Under this project, the needy and the needy are given completely interest-free loans for a fixed period of time. So far we have been able to give a loan of about five lakh rupees Alhamdulillah.

According to private information, there are about 15 lakh orphans in Bangladesh. Most of whom are far from education and basic needs. The importance and many virtues of caring for orphans have been mentioned in the Holy Quran and Hadith. We find orphans from rural and underprivileged areas and bear all the expenses of their education. Currently more than thirty students are studying under Yatim Project. The annual cost of an orphan’s education is only 42 thousand rupees.

Mosques, madrasas, schools, service centers and needy families are provided with clean water by installing tube wells. There are many poor families in rural areas who suffer from lack of clean water. In such families and institutions, tubewells are installed after verification. The cost of setting up a tube well is only 15-20 thousand rupees. Alhamdulillah, we have been able to install about half a hundred tube wells in different parts of the northern region so far.

Many poor families do not have the opportunity to eat meat except once a year. Keeping ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, on behalf of the able-bodied, we arrange sacrifices for the helpless poor families in the remote areas. On this occasion, at least once a year, we can bring a smile to the poor and helpless families. Anyone who is able from the country and abroad can offer one or more Qurbani through us.

Sadaqah can be given to establish mosques and madrasas in one’s own place for da’wah and educational activities. The mosque is the repository of multifaceted activities of the society. Prophet During this period the mosque was the basic center of all activities. We are trying to bring back the prophetic tradition by establishing an ideal mosque complex and modern madrasa to produce a group of learned Islamic scholars through contemporary education. Zakat is an important pillar of Islam. Only 2.5% Zakat per year is obligatory on the able-bodied on trade goods and personal surplus. Almighty God has reserved the rights of the poor and helpless in the wealth of the rich. It is obligatory to reach that right to the poor and needy. We try to reach the real deserving people with the Zakat money of the capable religious brothers and sisters of the country and abroad. Anyone can pay their zakat through us. Efforts are made to provide Zakat beneficiaries with sustainable livelihoods under self-reliance projects through this money. We also have projects like orphan care, women development, construction of houses for the homeless etc.

General donations are one of the driving forces of Tahzeeb Foundation. Under it, our multifaceted projects of education, service, research and advocacy are conducted. In various parts of the country, flood, cyclone, inundation, earthquake, etc. make every effort to support the people through immediate cooperation and distribution of relief.
